Le bar était excellent...

NOT ONLY THE GIRLS ARE PHOTOGENIC

While having lunch in the garden, a butterfly caterpillar suddenly fell from a tree onto the glass table. The light reflected off the glass, and the caterpillar was right in the middle of it. I immediately recognized the opportunity for some extraordinary photos and interrupted my lunch break to take some photos!

DRAWINGS "DIE VÖLKLINGER HÜTTE"

In 2006, my wife and I visited the World Heritage Site "Völklinger Hütte".

This factory is located in the town of Völklingen, a truly desolate town at the time.

The Völklinger Hütte is the world's only completely preserved ironworks from the heyday of industrialization and at the same time the first industrial monument of this era to be included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Hier erlebte ich auch ein tolles Lichterfest, das ich natürlich fotografiert habe.

The bizarre shapes of shells have always fascinated me!
In the summer of 2024 I created a black and white series of my shells.

Inwinte r the tip of the Médoc was completely flooded by heavy rain.

A wonderful opportunity for new photographs.

Like everywhere else in the world, it rained a lot on the tip of the Medoc Peninsula in the winter of 2023/2024.

There were no storms or catastrophes, but the landscape was completely flooded and the wintry nature suddenly had its charm.
Since nature had no colors, I took a series of high-contrast black and white photos.

1984 | NINETEEN EIGHTY FOUR

1984 | Nineteen Eighty Four is an art photography about the current political realities.
In view of the ever increasing state control, I created this work.
It is based on the book "1984 - Nineteen Eighty-four from 1949" by George Orwell.
The book describes the future vision of a totalitarian state.
Today 40 years after 1984 it is no longer a vision of the future!
The totalitarian state is a reality!
The work is a compilation of several photographs that I have made over the years..

SYRIAN PEACE

Diese Bildkomposition entstand 2017 aufgrund des Syrienkrieges.

Immer wieder wurde von Frieden gesprochen...

Nichts davon und heute, in 2025, also 8 Jahre später ist es eine unfassbare Katastrophe!!!

Heute würde ich das Bild ganz anders gestalten...
